In 1990, the Ryan White Cares Act was enacted and became the largest federally funded program in the United States for people living with HIV/AIDS. The act was named after Ryan White, a young boy who was diagnosed with HIV in 1984 after receiving a tainted blood transfusion. The Ryan White HIV/AIDs Program is broken into 5 parts Part A, Part B, Part C, Part D, Part F.
