Leon county School Health Nurse
Sasha Wright, RN, is a graduate of the Florida Agricultural and Mechanical University where she completed her Bachelor of Science in nursing followed by a preceptorship in the diabetic unit at the Tallahassee Memorial Hospital. Sasha also completed undergraduate studies at the University of South Florida and gained experience in the care of children diagnosed with autism, Asperger’s and other learning disabilities as a program assistant for the Center for Autism and Related Disabilities – USF. During her career as a registered nurse, Sasha worked as a cardiac and neurological unit nurse as well as a COVID-19 response nurse during the beginning stages of the pandemic. Afterwards, she transitioned to the Florida Department of Health – Leon County to serve as a school health nurse to become more knowledgeable and supportive to children and families with medical diagnoses in the public-school setting. Sasha currently attends the University of West Florida to continue studies as a family nurse practitioner in hopes to open a health clinic in an underserved area to provide trusting, resourceful, and life-changing care to children, women, and families.
