Neighborhood Medical Center along with Pat’s Pantry will be providing Health Education, HIV, and Syphilis testing for the individual’s at are homeless with in Leon and Gadsden county for National Health Center Week. The event will take at Lake Ella Park in Leon County. NMC will inform the community the importance of getting health care including Primary and Dental, risky sexual behaviors, STD’s, how to protect them from contracting STD’s, how to use a condom, and where they can receive health care as well as treatment. This type of targeted outreach will help NMC to provide care and test a group of homeless community members who would normally not get tested or be in some type of health care.
